OSH

Audit concerning the fulfillment of occupational safety & health conditions in technological areas, where explosive atmospheres may occur.

According to the Regulation of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy dated 26 September 1997, on general requirements of occupational health and safety at work (consolidated text see: Dz. U. [Journal of Laws] 2003. No. 169, item. 1650, as amended) “the employer is obliged to ensure regular inspections of occupational health and safety at work, with particular consideration of the work processes within the organization, technical condition of machines and other technical devices as well as to identify ways of registering irregularities and methods of removing them”.

The employer can meet the obligation specified in §40 paragraph 1 cited in the above Regulation by conducting comprehensive occupational health and safety inspections.

Checking OSH measures by performing OSH condition analysis are based on §2 of the Regulation of the Council of Ministers dated 2 September 1997, on OHS service (Dz. U. [Journal of Laws] 1997 No. 109, item. 704, as amended).

The analysis of OSH conditions allows the verification of provided health and safety working conditions. This analysis provides the employer a thorough review of all issues regarding OHS, examining them and allows for implementing the conclusions.

The result of an OSH audit is a report which presents areas of risks, in which it is necessary to make changes in order to improve safety conditions in the workplace.
